SCBCD 5_Study_Group_Goals

1. Complete Certification Objectives Sections

Current task assignments - please edit this page to volunteer to complete specific objectives.

- please refer to Yahoo group for latest info

Note: Objectives 3.3, 4.1, 5.2 (develop code examples) will be hw assignments (refer to FirstCup below):

2. Build and Deploy an EJB 3.0 application

Get the Java EE 5.0 SDK or Glassfish (see below)

Download the First Cup tutorial and sample files.

For the reference implementation (Glassfish) source code, and for Mac users, use the
Glassfish server.

First Cup Tips

3. Find example questions from previous version of exam (time permitting)

Try to find questions that are relevant for the SCBCD 5.0 exam from other sources such as the JavaRanch EJB Certification Forum

4. Create sample questions based on the new objectives and challenge each other (time permitting)

Note: there was a reference to Mikalai Zaikin who is also trying to accomplish the same thing - see Links To EJB3.0 Study Materials for details. Mikalai's notes are however incomplete and sometimes unavailable. Please use the three specifications (simplified, ejbcore and persistance) as _the_ reference for all the objectives (each objective note should refer to a spec) - use JSRs and Sun's Tutorial if none of the specs satisfies the objectives.
