Java Study Groups

We currently have two active study groups (others may resume if there is enough interest):

- Java 5 Programmer Study Group:
Focusing on the SCJP 5 (Java Programmer) certification, good for beginners.

-Java Mobile Study Group
Android, J2ME, iPhone (via XMLVM)

- Java Enterprise Study Group: currently not in session
Ongoing general EJB 3 study. Good for preparing for the
SCBCD 5 (EJB 3) certification but also covering related technologies.

Java Architect Study Group: currently not in session
Focusing on studying for the free beta exam for SCEA 5!
prerequisite: 5 yrs enterprise experience (no previous certification required)

for details click on links above - for latest schedule see the main page

If you know anyone who may be interested in these study groups, feel free to invite them to stop by any or our upcoming meetings as usually no RSVP is necessary unless there's overwhelming demand. Please check on home page to see if RSVP is needed.

Note: Although these study groups are open to the public, we'd ask those who do come to more than one meeting to help support our parent organization by becoming a member of the NYPC Users Group for only $45/yr. This is fully tax deductable and helps defray costs, such as the classroom/office space at the New Yorker Hotel.
